Use this decision tree to route any link building task to the right tactic.

1. White Hat Outreach

Use when: Building editorial links, guest posts, resource page placements.

  • Find prospects → outreach-prospecting (discover and score targets)

  • Flow: prospect first, then outreach

2. Local Links

Use when: Client is a local business needing citations and directory presence.

  • Run both in parallel — citations are systematic, local links are opportunistic

3. Platform / Parasite

Use when: Needing high-DA links fast or testing keyword competitiveness.

  • Create 1,500-2,500 word articles targeting low-competition keywords (DA30 or lower on page 1)
  • Build 3-5 Tier 2 links to the parasite page
  • Can rank in 2-4 weeks

4. PBN

Use when: Client needs fast authority boost and you own or can build expired domain networks.

  • Never interlink PBN sites. Never use same hosting/theme/registrar.

5. Cloud Stack (Google Properties)

  • Support with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides (Tier 2) → link to Google Site
  • Amplify with Drive folder, YouTube, Blogger (Tier 3)
  • Use branded Google account with target city location set

6. Amazon Author Backlink

Use when: Need a DR 96+ link with zero competition for it.

  • Create Amazon Author Page at author.amazon.com
  • Write keyword-rich bio with money site link
  • Publish at least one KDP product
